THE MISSION OF THE COUNCIL, AFL-CIO IS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF WORKING FAMILIES - TO BRING ECONOMIC JUSTICE TO THE WORKPLACE AND SOCIAL JUSTICE TO OUR STATE AND THE NATION. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION, WE WORK TO: 1. BUILD A BROAD MOVEMENT OF WORKERS BY HELPING WORKERS JOIN AND FORM UNIONS. 2. SUPPORT WORKERS AS THEY BARGAIN WITH EMPLOYERS TO IMPROVE THEIR LIVING CONDITIONS AND WORKPLACES, AS WELL AS THEIR COMMUNITIES, STATE AND NATION. 3. STRENGTHEN THE VOICE OF WORKING FAMILIES AT ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT BY CONTINUING TO BUILD ON OUR CANDIDATES PROGRAM.

THE CHILDREN'S IS A SET UP TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CHILDREN/FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM CANCER, TERMINAL ILLNESS, UNSPECIFIED CHRONIC ILLNESS OR EXTREME POVERTY. THE PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN PAYING MONTHLY BILLS AND MEDICAL EXPENSES

The mission of Aurora's is to introduce teenagers to management through the production of fundraising events and simulated board meetings under the guidance of adult professionals. The organization will raise funds for the community through these events while promoting among teenagers an awareness of the various types of entities and their mission.
