Grants to New Jersey nonprofit and for-profit entities serving eligible locations to provide short-term social services for families and individuals who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. Funding is intended to assist those who are experiencing non-recurring, short-term emergencies. Eligible applicants serve the residents of Morris County. Funding may only be billed for a specific unit of service when there is no third-party insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, or any other type of reimbursement, in whole or in part, for that service unit.

All providers of SSH/State and SSH/TANF Shelter and/or Prevention services (with the exception of Domestic Violence Shelters) must utilize the New Jersey “AWARDS” Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to become a State-approved SSH vendor.

The County of Morris reserves the right to renew Subgrant agreements for the period of January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024, based upon the annual program review and the availability of funding.
