THE SEAGATE LEF IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY TO:I. SUPPORT AND BENEFIT MEMBERS OF THE SEAGATE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN SEAGATE, NEW YORK. II. SOLICIT, COLLECT, AND RAISE MONEY FOR THE ULTIMATE BENEFIT OF SEAGATE POLICE OFFICERS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN TIMES OF NEED.III. INITIATE, ESTABLISH, AND CONDUCT MEETINGS ON VARIOUS ISSUES AFFECTING HEALTH AND WELFARE OF POLICE OFFICERS.IV. AID, ASSIST, COOPERATE, AND OTHERWISE ENGAGE WITH PRIVATE AND GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES, ORGANIZATIONS AND INSTITUTIONS ON ALL ISSUES AND MATTERS AFFECTING THE WORK OF THE POLICE.V. TO ADVOCATE AND ENCOURAGE THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS AMONG THE MEMBERS OF THESEAGATE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND TO GIVE PROPER CONSIDERATION TO QUESTIONS AFFECTING THE WORK OF POLICE OFFICERS IN THE SEAGATE POLICE DEPARTMENTVI. TO DISSEMINATE INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC CONCERNING THE ROLE OF THE POLICE IN ORDER TO ENHANCE THEIR POSITIVE IMAGE.VII. TO IMPROVE AND ADVANCE THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF MEMBERS OF SEAGATE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
