Grants to USA and Canada nonprofit organizations in eligible regions for programs and events that benefit families and youth. Applicants must serve historically underrepresented and underserved populations. Funding is intended to support programs and organizations that provide basic necessities to children and families, including housing, clothing, food, access to healthcare, and education. Grants should benefit residents in communities where Nordstrom does business.

Nordstrom is committed to supporting anti-racist organizations that prioritize social and racial justice. Applicants must provide >50% of programming and/or support to serve historically underrepresented and underserved identities, including BIPOC, women, LGBTQIA+, immigrants/refugees, people experiencing poverty, and people with disabilities.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for support from Nordstrom, your organization must qualify for non-profit status under the IRS and be a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, or registered under the Canadian Income Tax Act and regulated through the CRA.

Nordstrom is very committed to education and educational programs, but with so many schools in Nordstrom communities, Nordstrom is unable to select one school to support over another. Rather, Nordstrom supporst educational-focused organizations. In light of these guidelines, Nordstrom is unable to support requests for individual primary or secondary schools (preschool, elementary, middle or high school).

Please note that Nordstrom will not fund organizations with a written policy of discrimination against any person or group based on sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other basis.

The Nordstrom community grant program currently provides programmatic support or event sponsorship only. Ineligible requests include:
- Conferences or conventions
- Individual scholarships or funds for individuals
- Projects of a political nature, including lobbying
- Professional or amateur team sponsorship (including sports clubs)
- Pageants or talent competitions
- Religious organizations serving only those with like beliefs or places of worship
- Team fundraising events (including athletic events)
- Unrestricted operating funds

Pre-Application Information:

Organizations may submit a request for consideration September 1 through November 1 for the following fiscal year. Nordstrom will communicate funding decisions to all organizations no later than February 28.
